A few more hints and tips for improving engagement and productivity by managing remote teams and home workers include:

Staff need to know it is ok for them to tell you if things aren’t going well for them
Where people are struggling, look at solutions together (NB people with mental health issues often can’t ‘do’ what they know they need to)
At the start, get buy in from your team, as to how you will all work best together, when will you have team meetings etc
Remind each other what a good job you are doing
Encourage personal planning and self care
